Yale University

Yale University is one of only eight private Ive League universities. It is also one of the oldest higher education institution in the United States. It was established over 200 years ago in 1701 in New Haven, Connecticut, where it still resides. It was the first university in the nation to award the Ph.D.

Yale is composed of 14 autonomous schools and academic colleges, which include the original undergraduate college, the Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and twelve individual graduate professional studies schools. In addition to its main campus located in downtown New Haven, Yale has another campus and a large athletics facility located in West Haven, Connecticut. With an endowment valued at nearly $26 billion, Yale is one of the wealthiest higher education institutions in the United States.

Five United States Presidents, 20 Supreme Court Justices, 13 billionaries, 52 Nobel laureats, 118 Marshal Scholars, 230 Rhodes Scholars, and many other prominent political figures (Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, etc.) in our nation's history have graduated from Yale University.

For most of it's existence, Yale University has been one of the top ranked institutions of higher learning in the United States.
