Wesleyan University

Wesleyan Unviersity is a private four-year liberal arts college that focuses on undergraduate education. Notwithstanding its undergraduate focus, Wesleyan offers master's and PhD degrees in various fields of study including Computer Science, Mathematics, Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics and Music. The university was founded in 1831 and is located in Middletown, Connecticut.

At the undergraduate level, Wesleyan awards the Bachelor of Arts (BA) through its 46 academic colleges. In all, the university offers 45 major concentrations, 13 interdisciplinary programs and over 900 individual courses. Wesleyan also offers 11 minors and 11 certificate programs. About 40% of Wesleyan students complete double majors. Through a partnership with the California Institute of Technology, Wesleyan offers a 3-2 engineering program that allows students to earn both their Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Arts (MA) in just five years.

U.S. News & World Report ranked Wesleyan University 14th in the nation among national liberal arts colleges in 2016. It was ranked 13th in the nation by U.S. News & World Report on its "High School Counselor Rankings" list. Wesleyan is consistently ranked among the top liberal arts universities in the United States.

While Wesleyan does not currently offer online degrees, in 2012 it started offering public access online courses. By 2015, over 1 million students had enrolled in an online courseadministered by Wesleyan University.
