Wake Forest University
Wake Forest University (commonly referred to as "Wake Forest") is a private research university whose main campus (Reynolda) is located just north of downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The university has a second campus in Charlotte. Wake Forest is a top-tier national university with an acceptance rate of 30%. The university has a strong liberal arts academic focus and is primarily an undergraduate institution.Wake Forest offers 40 undergraduate majors and 60 interdisciplinary minors in various academic fields and disciplines. Students are required to declare a major by their sophmore year. Earning a bachelor's degree at Wake Forest requires the completion of 120 credit hours, a core curriculum, major courses, and electives. Qualifying students can participate in the university's "Open Curriculum" program which allows students to design their own course of study.
In 2016, U.S. News & World Report ranked Wake Forest 10th in the nation on its list of America's Best Colleges for "Best Undergraduate Teaching" and it was ranked No.27 in the United States among national universities. The university has a long, and prestigious record of producing award winning scholars and academics. Since 1986, Wake Forrest has produce 15 Rhode Scholars, 62 Fulbright recipients and 4 Marshall Scholars. Many of the university's students and alumni have gone on to achieve success as community leaders, politicians and corporate executives.
School of Business
Located in the Farrell Hall Facility on Wake Forest's main campus in Winston-Salem, the School of Business offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs in business designed for students and aspiring business professionals. In addition to it's main location in Winston-Salem, the school also offers business programs and a professional MBA at the university's campus in Charlotte.The Wake Forest University School of Business offers 6 graduate business degrees and 4 joint-degree programs, including an MBA, MS in Accounting (MAcc) and MA in Management. At the undergraduate level the school offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) in business with concentrations in business management, accounting, mathematical business and finance.
Online Degrees and Programs
Currently, Wake Forest University offers a limited number of online degrees and distance learning programs. The university recently launched the online Master of Arts in Counseling (MCA) which can be completed remotely via the Internet. The Online MA in Counseling allows students to focus their studies one School Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling or Human Services.General Information
