University of Washington

University of Washington-Seattle (often referred to by locals as UW-Seattle, Udub, UW or just Washington) is a public university whose main campus is located in Seattle, Washington.

UW offers students the opportunity to pursue bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in more than 66 disciplines with nearly 300 academic concentrations. The University of Washington-Seattle is regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and has specialized accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education. Several of the university's individual departments also hold professional accreditations.

UW offers dual credit, joint degree, online distance learning and study abroad programs. Advanced Placement courses from high school can be applied as college credit at UW and qualifying students are offered daycare for there young children.

University of Washington has been ranked among the top 20 universities in the world by the Academic Ranking of World Universities. US News and World Report has ranked several of UW's medical programs among the top ten in the United States.

With over 42,000 full-time students UW is the largest higher education institution in the state of Washington–as well as one of the largest universities in the Western United States.

Foster School of Business

The Foster School of Business at the University of Washington in Seattle offers an array of bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in business. The school has a total annual enrollment of roughly 2,500 undergraduate and graduate students and over 1,000 students in its executive education programs. Foster School of Business has been ranked among the top 30 business schools in the nation by Businessweek, U.S. News & World Report and the editorial staff. At the graduate level, the school offers the full-time MBA, Globel Executive MBA, EMBA, Technology Management MBA and a doctoral business program.

UW Online

Through the Professional & Continuing Education department the University of Washington offers UW Online – its online learning division for students. Through UW Online students can finish their bachelor's degree online, earn a master's degree, take individual online courses or pursue an online certificate. Online degrees and certificates are offered in various fields of study including family sciences, social sciences, engineering, construction management, business, communications, education, and many more.
