University of La Verne

The University of La Verne (ULV) is a privately owned and operated four-year higher education institution located just east of Los Angeles in La Verne, California. It was established 1891 and is affiliated with the Church of the Brethren – a Christian denomination. In addition to its main campus in La Verne, the university also teaches courses at smaller satellite campuses located throughout the greater Los Angeles metro region. The university has seven regional campuses. Regional campuses are located in San Luis Obispo, Victorville, Ontario, Bakersfield, Irvine, Burbank, Oxnard and Ontario, California.

University of La Verne offers a large selection of both undergraduate and graduate degrees in various fields of study including Business, Public Management, Education, Leadership and Law, among others. The University of La Verne also offers a nationally ranked online degree program, referred to as "La Verne Online". Through La Verne Online students can earn their degree entirely online, or compliment their campus-based degree program by completing select onlinen courses. Students can chose whether to take their classes on campus or online. Online courses and degrees are also offered at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

For student athletes, and sports enthusiasts, La Verne offers a well developed intercollegiate athletics program. La Verne student athletes compete in over 18 sports (9 for men and 9 for women). La Verne is a member of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) and ULV teams are collectively known as the Leopards. Since 1982, the Leopards have won several championships in men's baseball, men's volleyball and women's volleyball.
