University of Iowa

University of Iowa (commonly referred to as Iowa or UI) is a public four-year university located in Iowa City, Iowa. The university is comprised of eleven academic colleges and schools.

The University of Iowa awards bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees, as well as certificates in 200 areas of study. It also offers 7 professional degree programs. The university is regionally accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and is professionally accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. Many of its other academic colleges also hold professional accreditation.

In addition to traditional 4-year bachelor degrees, 2-year master degrees and various Phd programs, the University of Iowa also offers several dual/joint-degree programs, distance learning degree programs for non-traditional students, and those living abroad, as well as study abroad program for students interested in studying in a foreign country. For high school students who have completed AP courses, earned credits may be applied toward their college degree.

The University of Iowa was ranked 72nd in the nation by U.S. News and among the top 200 universities in the world by the Academic Ranking of World Universities. The school has been ranked 29th in the nation among research universities by U.S. News & World Report.

Tippie College of Business

The Tippie College of Business was one of the first business schools to be founded in the United States. It's also consistently ranked among the top business schools in the nation. Tippie's Master of Business Administation (MBA) program is ranked among the top MBA degree programs in the nation by Forbes, Financial Times, U.S. News & World Report and

The college offers the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with specializations in finance, marketing, accounting, management, information systems and economics. Certificates in Entrepreneurship, Risk Management and International Business are also offered at the undergraduate level.

At the graduate level, the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa offers a Master of Accountancy (MAcc), Full-time MBA, MBA for Professionals, 2-year Executive MBA and International MBA (in Hong Kong).

Distance and Online Education

The University of Iowa offers various undergraduate and graduate degree programs that can be completed entirely online. Online degrees offered at the undergraduate level include the BAS (Bachelor of Applied Studies), BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration), BLS (Bachelor of Liberal Studies), BASW (Bachelor of Arts in Social Work), RN-BSN, RT to BS in Radiation Sciences (Bachelor of Science) and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Online).
