University of Michigan–Ann Arbor

The University of Michigan–Ann Arbor is the oldest university in the state of Michigan. It was founded in 1817 in Detroit as the University of Michigania. It was renamed the University of Michigan and moved to its current location, Ann Arbor, in 1837. It has an expansive campus where over 580 buildings reside. In addition to its main campus in Ann Arbor, the university has satellite campuses in the cities of Flint and Dearborn, along with a learning Center in Detroit.

The University of Michigan is known for its high level of research. It offers various doctoral programs in the humanities, STEM fields as well as professional areas of study including medicine, law, architecture, nursing, business, social working, dentistry and nursing. Even though the university has a strong focus on research and graduate level education, it's primarily a four-year residential unviversity with the majority of its student body composed for undergraduate students seeking bachelor's degrees in the arts, sciences and professions.

Ross School of Business

With a total annual enrollment of roughly 1,800 students, the Stephen M. Ross School of Business is the largest professional graduate school at the University of Michigan. With 1,400 students, the College of Engineering is the only other graduate school that comes close in terms of size. The Ross School of Business is consistently ranked among the top business schools in the world. The school offers bachelor, master, doctoral and executive level education and business degrees. Its most popular degrees include the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and the Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Online Degree Programs

Through its Integrative System + Design (ISD) division the University of Michigan offers several fully online master degree programs. The U.S. News & World Report recently ranked the schools online engineerinng program among the top-ten best programs in the nation. Throughout its many departments and divisions, students will find the opportunity to complete coursework via online distance learning.
