The University of Denver is an independent private four-year university that was founded in 1864, by John Evans, former Colorado Governor. The university has a student body of just under 12,000 (5,600 undergrads and 6,300 post-grads) and an academic staff of approximately 1,260. The University of Denver is located in Denver, Colorado in the University Neighborhood.
