Trinity College
Trinity College is a four-year undergraduate institution that offers a liberal arts curriculum. The college was founded in 1823, just after Yale University, and is located in Hartford, Connectict. Trinity has a student body of 2,300 and full-time academic staff of just over 260. The college has a student-to-faculty ratio of 9 to 1 and is regionally accredited to award both bachelor's and master's degrees.Trinity offers Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees in 38 major areas of study and the Master of Arts (MA) in a very limited number of subjects. The college also offers several interdisciplinary majors, as well as the opportunity for students to design their own major. Minors are available in various subject areas. Trinity College is one of just few liberal arts schools in the United States to offer a bachelor's degree in engineering.
Roughly 70% of undergraduate students at Trinity participate in the college's study abroad program at some time during their college career. In addition to its full-time programs in Hartford, Trinity also offers courses through its study abroad program in various international locations including Buenso Aires, Argentina; Barcelona, Spain; Trinidad and Tobago; Vienna, Austria; Paris, France; Shanghai, China; and Cape Town, South Africa.
Trinity College is a nationally ranked college. In 2016, it was ranked 43rd in the nation among national liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. It was ranked among the top 50 best graduate program "feeder schools" in the United States by The Wall Street Journal.
Trinity College now offers several of its courses entirely online. Online courses and programs at Trinity are flexible and convenient.
