Rutgers University-New Brunswick (also known as Rutgers - The State University of New Jersey, The State University or Rutgers University, or Rutgers - New Brunswick) is a public higher education institution and research university located in in New Brunswick, New Jersey. It was established in 1766 as Queen's College and is one of the 9 original "Colonial Colleges" founded before the American Revolution. Based in New Brunswick, Rutgers University also has campuses in the cities of Piscataway, Camden and Newark.

With more 45,000 undergraduate students, 20,000 graduate students and faculty of 9,000, Rutgers is the largest university in New Jersey, as well as one of the largest higher education institutions in the United States. Rutgers University is comprised of 175 academic departments and 29 academic colleges which together offer over 100 bachelor degree programs, 100 master's degrees, and 80 doctoral-level graduate programs.

According to the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Training, Rutgers University is classified as a "Research Intensive University" with a high research activity. Rutgers has an annual research budget in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

Rutgers University was ranked 54th in the world and 38th in the nation by the Academic Ranking of World Universities. US News and World Report ranks the Drama, English, and several of the university's other academic programs among the top 20 in the nation within their respective fields.

Rutgers Business School

Rutgers Business School is one of the top business schools in the nation and was recently ranked 39th in the nation Ranking of Top Business Schools report published by the Wall Street Journal. The School's full-time MBA programs was ranked 48th in nation by U.S. News & World Report. Rutgers is has one of the few MBA programs to offer concentrations in Biotech, Pharma and Healthcare. MBA concentrations are also offered in more traditional disciplines including marketing, entrepreneurship, business strategy, global business, accounting, finance and supply chain management.

Rutgers Business School offers both undergraduate and graduate-level business degrees and programs. At the undergraduate level, Rutgers Business School offers the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA). At the graduate level, students can pursue an MBA or master's degree in Accounting, Information Technology or Quantitative Finance.
