Rhodes College

Rhodes College is a private, four-year undergraduate institution with a student body of approximately 2,000. Although Rhodes is an undergraduate college, it does support about 20 post-graduate students in any given year. Rhodes was founded in 1848 and is located in Memphis, Tennessee. It is affiliated with Presbyterian Church but accepts students of all religious faiths. The college is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Rhodes provides a strong focus on student research and writing. Undergraduate students are provided the option of participating in various research-based academic programs sponsored by a number of organizations affiliated with the college, including the Center for Outreach and Development of the Arts, the Rhodes Service Fellows program, the Rhodes Institute for Regional Sudies, the Mike Curb Institute for Music and the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Rhodes students are also encourage to get involved in a variety of community activities and service projects.

Following graduation, about 30% of Rhodes students pursue graduate degrees or apply to professional schools (ie., law, business, medicine, etc.) Nearly all (95%) Rhodes graduates who apply to law school or business schools are accepted. Students who apply to medical school after graduation are accepted at rate nearly twice that of other colleges. For students planning on attending graduate school, Rhode College is a great place to earn an undergraduate degree.

Rhodes College now offers several of its course online. Online courses are offered in business administration, business management, and marketing. The major of degree programs at Rhodes are not offered online.
