Purdue University

Purdue University is a public higher education institution located in West Lafayette, Indiana. It is the flagship and largest university of the Purdue University system. It was named after John Purdue, a successful business leader who helped found the university in 1869 with a donation of $150,000.

Purdue University offers more than 211 majors and 70 graduate programs, which include associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees, as well as a large variety of certificate programs. Purdue offers professional programs in veterinary medicine and pharmacy. The school is regionally accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Purdue is a very diverse university with the 2nd largest enrollment of international students of any higher education institution in the United States. It is the second largest university in the state of Indiana in terms of student enrollment (38,860).

Purdue University has been ranked 40th in the nation and 61st in the world by Academic Ranking of World Universities. The school's undergraduate and graduate engineering programs have been ranked among the top 20 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.

Krannert School of Management

The Krannert School of Management is the business school at Purdue University. It offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in various business disciplines. Undergraduate degree programs are offered in accounting, finance, marketing, strategy, economics, management, industrial management, supply chain management and organizational management. At the graduate level, Krannert offers a number of master's degrees, including an MBA, EMBA, MS in Human Resource Management, International Masters in Management, MS in Global Supply Chain Management, MS in Global Entrepreneurship and a Weekend MBA. The school also offers a variety of joint degree programs which combine a degree in business with a degree in pharmacy, industrial administration or engineering.

Krannert offers a unique "3+2" program for undergraduate student that allows them to earn their bachelor's degree in business and MBA in just five years. This program is reserved for undergraduates who demonstrate superior aptitude and academic performance.

Online Programs at Purdue University

Purdue University now offers both credit and non-credit online degrees and programs. For-credit programs include master's degrees, associate degrees, graduate certifications and professional development. Online master's degrees are offered in various areas of study, including economics, business, aeronautics, aviation, communication, computer science, technology, engineering and education, among others. Online associate degrees are offered in a limited number of areas including veterinary technology. Graduate certificates are offered in applied statistics, digital signal processing, communication management, noise control, applied heat transfer and biotechnology. A variety of online professional development courses are available for teachers.
