Princeton University

Princeton is one of eight private "Ivy League" universities which include Standford, Harvard and Yale. It was founded in 1746 prior to revolutionary war and is one of 9 original colonial institutions of higher learning. It is located in Princeton, New Jersey. Princeton University has produced many Nobel laureats, National Medal of Science winners, Fields Medalists, Marshal Schlars, Rhodes Scholars and Abel Prize winners, as well as two U.S. presidents.

With just over 8,000 students, Princeton is not one of the larger universities in the United States, but as an Ivy League institution, it is one of the most prestigious. The university's total annual enrollment of 8,000 includes roughly 5,300 undergraduate and 2,700 graduate students. Princeton offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in an array of academic and career-oriented disciplines including social sciences, natural sciences, business, finance, humanities and engineering. Many students who complete an undergraduate degree at Princeton continue on to earn a graduate degree or attend a professional school.

Through its Online Learning division, Princeton University offers its students the ability to compliment their campus based education with course specific online audio and video learning. However, the university currently does not offer degrees that can be completed entirely online.Only a limited number of fully online courses are available.

Princeton University offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in 41 fields of studies with over 100 concentrations. Princeton is regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
