Pomona College

Pomona College is a privately owned and operated four-year undergraduate college that offers an exceptional liberal art education. It currently enrolls roughly 1,700 students a year who work toward the completion of a bachelor's degree in preparation for graduate school or a career. Between its various academic colleges, Pomona offers students 47 undergraduate majors and over 2000 individuals courses. Pomona is a residential college where nearly all (98%) of students live on campus as they work toward the completion of their degree. In addition to undergraduate majors, Pomona offers 400 academic research opportunities and various pre-professional programs designed to help students prepare for grad school.

Pomona is consistently ranked among the top 5 undergraduate colleges and universities in the United States by Forbes, U.S. News & World Report and other reputable college ranking publications. The college currently has an endowment of over $2 billion, making it one of the wealthiest colleges on a per capita basis. With an acceptance rate of roughly 9%, it is also one of the most selective undergraduate colleges in the United States.

The student-to-faculty ration at Pomona is 8:1, the average class size is 15, and over 90% of courses have less than 30 students. Pomona offers a very personalized educational experience where students have a lot of interaction with faculty, professors and fellow students. Many students live in on-campus housing and over 85% of all students live within 5 miles of campus.
