Pennsylvania State University (locally referred to as Penn State) is a public residential university whose main campus resides in University Park, Pennsylvania.

Penn State provides aspiring students and professionals the ability to earn an associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree in hundreds of disciplines and fields of study. The university also awards certificates and offers undergraduate students a selection of over 80 majors to choose from. Penn State is regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). Due to its status as regionally accredited institution, credits earned at Penn State are tranferrable to just about any other college or university in the United States.

In addition to traditional degree programs, Penn State also offers an array of joint degrees, dual credit degrees, distance learning degrees and a study abroad program that is very popular among students seeking an international experience. Penn State accepts AP credits from students who completed and passed AP courses in high school.

Pennsylvania State University has consistently been ranked among the top universities in the nation. It was ranked 45th by US News & World Report on its list of America's Best Colleges. The Wall Street Journal ranked Pennsylvania state No.1 out of over 400 for "graduates that were the best-trained."

Smeal College of Business

The Smeal College of Business offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in various business disciplines. Specific programs include bachelor degrees in business (with concentrations in accounting, marketing, finance, risk management, international business, etc.), a Master of Business Administration (with concentrations in finance, marketing, leadership, enterpreneurship and supply chain management), an Executive MBA, Master of Accounting (MAcc), Master of Professional Studies in Supply Chain Management, Doctoral degree in business and several non-degree executive education programs.

Via PennState World Campus, the Pennsylvania State University offers an array of online degrees, certificates and courses that can be completed remotely via distance learning.
