Middlebury College

Middlebury College is a private 4-year college that focuses on undergraduate education in the liberal arts. With just over 2,500 students from over 70 countries and all 50 states, Middlebury is a very diverse undergraduate institution. Currently, college offers 44 major concentrations which emphasize social sciences, literature, foreign languages, arts, natural sciences and humanities.

The most popular academic fields of study at Middlebury are English and American literatures, economics, psychology, international studies, environmental studies, and political science. About 30% of students at Middlebury complete a double major and another 30% major in a interdisciplinary field of study.

Middlebry College is well known for its intensive foreign language study programs that are conducted during eight-week summer sessions. Foreign language training is offered in 10 languages through the Middlebury College Language Schools to over 1,350 students each summer. Students who participate in the intensive immersion-based language training program agree to use the new language they learn exclusively throughout the remainder of their time at the School.

U.S. News & World Report has ranked Middlebury College the 4th-best liberal arts college in the country. The Princeton Review included Middlebury in its "The Best 380 Colleges" publication and ranked it 2nd in the nation for "Impact Schools" and 3rd for "Best Science Lab Facilities". Middlebury found its way to No.34 among national universities on the Forbes list of "America's Top Colleges". It was ranked 29th on the EducationCorner.com "Top 100 Colleges in America" for 2016.
