Ivy Tech Community College-Kokomo

With a population of just over 46,000, Kokomo is the 13th largest city in Indiana. Its economy is based mostly in manufacturing. While the city was hit hard by the recession of 2007, the city is on the rebound. The city is home to many corporations and education institutions including Indiana University Kokomo (IUK), Indiana Wesleyan University, Purdue College of Technology and Ivy Tech Community College-Kokomo.

Ivy Tech Community College-Kokomo, more commonly referred to as Ivy Tech Kokomo, is part of the state wide system of Ivy Tech Community College campuses. It was established to offer career training and career-oriented education programs to residents of Pulaski, Miami, Howard, Cass, Tipton, Fulton and Wabash counties. The college's main campus is located in Kokomo, but it has learning centers and sites in Peru, Rochester, Logansport, Tipton and Wabash, Indiana.

All degrees offered at Ivy Tech Kokomo are career and skills oriented. Upon graduation students will be prepared to enter the work force or transfer to a four-year college. Currently, Ivy Tech offers over 30 academic, technical and professional degree, and certificate programs. Areas of study include accounting, criminal justice, early childhood, technology education, business, healthcare, welding, and nursing, among others.

In addition to an exceptional academic and educational offering, Ivy Tech Kokomo prides itself on offering students a diverse educational experience which includes a plethora of on campus activities, student clubs and events.
