Georgia Institute of Technology

The Georgia Institute of Technology (also known as Georgia Tech) is a public four-year residential research university based in Atlanta, Georgia with satellite and international campuses in Savannah, GA; Shanghai, China; Metz France; Singapore; and Athlone, Ireland.

Georgia Tech offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in 39 study areas and 104 discipline specific concentrations and is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Many of its individual academic colleges and schools hold additional professional-level accreditation.

Georgia Tech is comprised of six individual academic colleges which in turn are comprised of 31 departments. As its name suggests, the focus of education at Georgia Tech is on science and technology. The university's more popular degree programs include computer science, engineering, the sciences, business administration and architecture.

The Georgia Institute of Technology is always one of the top ranked universities in the United States. U.S. News and World Report ranked Georgia Tech seventh in the nation among public universities and thirty-fifth among all universities nationwide.

With just under 30,000 students, the Georgia Institute of Technology is the 6th largest university in the state of Georgia.

Scheller College of Business

The Scheller College of Business is consistently ranked among the top 25 business schools in the United State by U.S. News & World Report, EducationCorner.com, Businessweek and several other reputable publications. At the undergraduate level Scheller offers the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA). At the graduate level Scheller offers students a world class Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program – also ranked among the top in the nation. Scheller's MBA program is known for its focus on technology and analysis.

Online Degree Programs

Through its Professional Education department Georgia Tech offers an online master's or professional master's degree in various fields of study, including Computing; Defense Technology; Energy, SEP and Environmental Engineering; Economic Development; ESL; Management; Medical Physics; and Supply Chain Management, among others.

Georgia Tech offers summer students the opportunity to complete for-credit summer courses entirely online. These courses are offered in a variety of academic and professional disciplines.
