Georgetown University

Georgetown University (also known as Georgetown or GU) is a privately owned and operated research university located in Washington, D.C. It has a religeous affiliation with Roman Catholic Church but its students come from a wide variety of religious, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Currently the university has roughly 7,000 undergraduate students and 10,000 post-graduate students.

Georgetown offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in more than 50 academic subject areas and 128 discipline specific concentrations. The University is regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission. It is a renown institution that has received several national and international recognitions and awards.

The university is comprised of 11 individual academic colleges and schools which include the Georgetown College, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, School of Medicine, Law Center, School of Nursing and Health Studies, Walsh School of Foreign Service, School of Dentistry, School of Continuing Studies, McCourt School of Public Policy and McDonough School of Business In addition to a comprehensive selection of traditional degrees and programs, Georgetown University also offers a large variety of joint degrees, distance learning programs and study abroad opportunities.

McDonough School of Business

Georgetown's McDonough School of Business is a distinguished institution of higher learning and academia for business education. The most popular program offered through the McDonough School of Business is the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) which offers a robust undergraduate business education which includes courses in government, philosophy, economics, English, communication, accounting, finance, marketing, management and leadership. The school also offers a renown full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in general management. Additionally, the school offers the MBA as a joint degree with a Juris Doctorate, MD, MS in Foreign Service, or Masters of Public Policy.

For working professionals and aspiring executives, the McDonough School of Business offers an MBA Evening Program (EP), the Executive MBA (EMBA), the Global Executive MBA and various Executive Education programs.

Online Degrees

Through the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies, students have the opportunity to earn online degrees in various fields of study including marketing communications, public relations, sports industry management, technology management, real estate and project management. Currently, online degrees are only offered at the master's level.
