Duke University

With a campus covering over 8,600 acres, in terms of physical size, Duke University is one of the largest universities in the nation–and with just over 14,950 students (6,000 undergrad and 8,000 graduate) it is alse one of the largest top-ranked universities in the United States in terms of student body.

Duke is known for its dedication to academics and research. Duke offers a large selection of undergraduate and graduate degrees designed to prepare students for careers in industry, academia and research. As of 2014, Duke University's research expenditures exceeded $1 billion, making it the seventh largest research institution in the nation.

With an acceptance rate of 11.4%, Duke University is considered a highly selective school. It is currently ranked the 10th most difficult university to get into. Over 90% of entering freshman are among the top 10% of their high school graduating class.

Duke offers 98 undergraduate majors in the arts and sciences, and engineering. It also offers students the ability to design their own interdisciplinary major. In addition to 98 undergraduate majors, Duke offers 50 minores and a large selection of graduate programs. Over the last two decades, Duke has been among the top ranked universities in the United States in just about every college ranking publication and category.

Fuqua School of Business

The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University offers one of the top ranked MBA programs in the nation. In addition to a nationally recognized full-time MBA program, the school also offers a Weekend Executive MBA, a Global Executive MBA, a Master of Management Studies degree and various joint degree programs in law, forestry, public policy, medicine, nursing and environmental science.

Several professional development programs are also available for non-degree seeking business students.

Online Degrees and Courses

Through its continuing studies division, Duke University offers an array of online education options for students, professionals and those simply seeking personal advancement. Online certificates are offered in business, cloud computing, human resources, digital media and marketing, paralegal studies, nonprofit management, management accounting and legal nurse consulting.

Currently, Duke does not offer students the ability to complete their degree online.
