Davidson College

Davidson College is private four-year undergraduate liberal arts college located in Davidson, North Carolina. Although Davidson College is relatively small (1700 students), it has graduated over 20 Rhodes Scholars and has been recognized nationally for its academic excellence in teaching and curriculum design. The college is also well know for its study abroad program. Nearly 80% of students at Davidson participate in the college's study abroad program.

As an undergraduate institution, Davidson awards bachelor's degree in various fields of study and academic disciplines. Currently the college offers 26 major concentrations and 17 minors. Students are also able to design their own interdisciplinary majors by combining courses from various major concentrations. Over 93% of Davidson students live on campus while they complete their four-year undergraduate degree.

Davidson College was ranked 9th among "National Liberal Arts Colleges" in 2016 by U.S. News & World Report. It was also recognized for offering one of the best undergraduate teaching experiences in the nation. On the Forbers "America's Top Colleges" list for 2015, Davidson was ranked 31st among all colleges in the United States.

Davidson College is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of College and Schools to award undergraduate bachelor degrees. As a regionally accredited institution, credits earned at Davidson are transferrable to almost all other colleges and universities. Many students who graduate from Davidson go on to earn a graduate degree or attend a professional school.
