Case Western Reserve University, locally referred to as "Case Western" or "CWRU" is a private university that was founded through the merger of the federation of Case Institute of Technology and Western Reserve University in 1967. Case Western has an annual enrollment of roughly 4,600 undergraduate and 5,600 graduate students. It is located in about 5 miles east of Cleveland, Ohio in the University Circle neighborhood on 550-acre campus.
