William B. Ruggles Journalism Scholarship

The William B. Ruggles Journalism Scholarship is an award sponsored by National Institute for Labor Relations Research (NILRR).

Scholarship information:

Amount of Scholarship: Maximum - $1000
Application Deadline: 31-December-06
Scholarship Requirements: Applicants are limited to graduate or undergraduate students majoring in journalism or related majors, in institutions of higher learning throughout the United States. Officers, directors and employees of the National Institute for Labor Relations Research, the National Right to Work Committee, Members of the Selection Review Committee and their families are not eligible. The scholarshi is awarded on the basis of scholastic ability and a demonstrated interest in the work of the Institute. Candidate must demonstrate potential for successful completion of the educational requirements in an accredited journalism program by submitting a transcript or copy of acceptance letter from the school you are or will attend. Candidate must also demonstrate an understanding of the principles of volutary unionism and the economic and social problems of compulsory unionism by submitting an essay of approximately 500 words.
Eligibility: College freshman, College sophomore, College junior, College senior, Doctoral-level study, Master's-level study, Other postgraduate-level education, High school senior
