War Orphans Education Program

The War Orphans Education Program is a Tuition Waiver sponsored by West Virginia Division of Veterans Affairs.

Scholarship information:

Amount of Tuition Waiver: Maximum award: Full tuition and fees, plus $500 grant
Application Deadline: third Monday in July (fall); first Monday in December (spring)
Scholarship Requirements: Candidate must be the child of a veteran who died during wartime service or from an illness or injury resulting from wartime service. Candidate must be between ages 16 to 23, a West Virginia resident, attend a state-supported school in West Virginia, and maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
Eligibility: College freshman, College sophomore, College junior, College senior, Master's-level study, Doctoral-level study
