The Voice of Democracy Audio Essay Scholarship Competition is a Contest sponsored by Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Scholarship information:

Contest Award: Minimum - $1000, Maximum - $25000
Application Deadline: 1-November
Scholarship Requirements: Candidate must write a three- to five-minute essay on an annual patriotic theme and record it on a good-quality cassette or CD. Selection is based upon delivery (20%), originality (40%), and content (40%).
