University of Wisconsin-Madison

The University of Wisconsin-Madison (aka UW-Madison) is a public research university that resides in Madison, Wisconsin. With over 1,900 faculty and nearly 30,000 students, the University of Wisconsin in Madison is one of the largest higher education institutions in the Eastern United States.

Degrees at University of Wisconsin-Madison are offered at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels in over 75 fields of study with hundreds of concentrations and specializations. The University of Wisconsin-Madison is fully accredited through the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools–a regional accrediting body recognized and authorized by the U.S. Department of Education. The universy also has specialized accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. Many of the university's academic colleges also hold specialized professional accreditations.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison offers various learning formats and education programs including joint degrees, dual credit degrees, self-design majors, distance learning and study abroad programs for students with a flare for adventure. High school students who have successfully completed AP course can qualify for additional college credit.

The University of Wisconsin was ranked 17th in the nation and 19th in the world by the Academic Ranking of World Universities. US News and World Report has ranked the university's medical program among the best in the nation. Several of the university's other programs, including its MBA program, are among the top ranked withing their respective fields.

With an annual enrollment of nearly 42,000 full-time students, the University of Wisconsin Madison is the largest higher education institution in the state of Wisconsin.

School of Business
The Wisconsin School of Business offers some of the top ranked business programs in the United States. The school's real estate and risk management programs have consistently been ranked among the top in the nation. The school offers an undergraduate degree in business as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. The school also offers over 70 non-degree business courses through its Executive Education program. Those who participate in the Executive Education program can earn a Professional Development Certificate or the Master Practitioner designation.

UW Colleges Online
Through UW Colleges Online, the online learning division of UW-Madison, students can earn a degree or complete individual courses. By completely courses online, students can work toward earning an Associate of Arts and Science (AAS), Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences, or certificate. Areas of study available to online students include business, legal studies, math, history, biology, English, psychology, anthropology and computer science, among others. Not all departments at UW-Madision offers online degrees. Online courses, degrees and learning opportunities vary from department to department.
