United States Senate Youth Program

The United States Senate Youth Program is a scholarship sponsored by William Randolph Hearst Foundation.

Scholarship information:

Amount of Scholarship: Average - $5000, plus an all-expenses-paid week in Washington, D.C.
Application Deadline: late September or early October (deadline varies by state)
Scholarship Requirements: Candidate must be a permanent U.S. resident, hold an elected student office, and attend school in the state where a parent or guardian resides. Selection is based upon outstanding ability and demonstrated qualities of leadership. Selection is made by the Department of Education of each state.
