The Roy Wilkins Scholarship

The The Roy Wilkins Scholarship is an award sponsored by The United Negro College Fund.

Scholarship information:

Amount of Scholarship: Maximum - $1000
Application Deadline: 31-March
Scholarship Requirements: Candidate must be an entering college freshman. Candidate must be a citizen of the United States and seeking enrollment in an accredited college in the United States. NAACP membership and participation is highly desirable. Undergraduate applicants should be full-time students. If a student drops below the required full-time status, the Scholarship Selection Committee will adjust the grant received to 50% of the award allocated for that semester. Candidate must possess a grade point average of at least 2.5 (C+) on a 4.0 system. Members of the National NAACP Board of Directors, SCF Trustees, National Youth Work Committee, the NAACP Scholarship Selection Committee, employees and their spouses or families to the first degree of consanguinity are not eligible to apply for or receive this scholarship. Please submit the following with your completed typed application: Two letters of recommendation (other than relatives): One personal reference and one academic reference. Current official transcript of grades (high school). Copy of application for admission or letter of acceptance from college or university. Copy of NAACP membership card or receipt of membership. Financial Verification Information. One page essay.
