Southeast Asia POW MIA Scholarship

The Southeast Asia POW MIA Scholarship is an award sponsored by Mississippi Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning.

Scholarship information:

Amount of Scholarship: Full Tuition, plus average cost of dorm room and required fees
Scholarship Requirements: Candidate must be the child of a Mississippi veteran presently or formerly listed as MIA in Southeast Asia who has been a prisoner of a foreign government as a result of the military action against the U.S. naval vessel Pueblo. Applicant is eligible until age 23 and must be enrolled in a Mississippi public college or university. POW/MIA must have been a Mississippi resident at the time of induction into the Armed Forces and at the time he was officially listed as POW or MIA; spouse must have been a Mississippi resident for at least 10 years during her minority and at the time of the child's enrollment.
Eligibility: Applicant must be a college freshman, sophmore, junior or senior.
