Scholarship for Outstanding Airmen to ROTC (SOAR)
The Scholarship for Outstanding Airmen to ROTC (SOAR) is a Funded by military/requires military commitment sponsored by AFROTC Admissions.
Scholarship information:
Amount of Funded by military/requires military commitment: Maximum award: full tuition, incidental fees, and a textbook allowance, plus a monthly nontaxable allowance of $250-$400 during the school year, depending on academic year.
Scholarship Requirements: Candidate must be an U.S. citizen under age 31 as of December 31 of the year in which commissioned, and meet minimum college grade point average or secondary school grade point average requirements plus qualifying SAT I/ACT scores (if fewer than 24 semester or 36 quarter hours), have qualifying AFOQT scores, and have a recommendation from his/her immediate commander. Candidate must have less than six years of service as of October 15 of the year nominated.
