- Association for Technology in Music Instruction - ATMI cultivates the development of Computer-Aided Instruction (CAI)and gives information about its history and application in music instruction.
- Coalition For Music Education in British Columbia - Music education information for parents and others interested in finding out more about the value of music. We are a non-profit society made up of parents, educators and business people from varying walks of life who support school music programs.
- The College Music Society - The College Music Society promotes music teaching and learning, musical creativity and expression, research and dialogue, and diversity and interdisciplinary interaction. A consortium of college, conservatory, university, and independent musicians and scholars interested in all disciplines of music, the Society provides leadership and serves as an agent of change by addressing concerns facing music in higher education.
- Dalcroze Society of America - a nonprofit organization based on the artistic and pedagogical principles of Emile Jaques-Dalcroze, the Dalcroze approach teaches an understanding of music’s fundamental concepts, expressive meanings, and deep connections to other arts and activities. Performers, teachers, dancers, actors, children, and senior citizens can all benefit from this approach which incorporates rhythmic movement, aural training and improvisation.
- International Society for Music Education. -The International Society for Music Education was formed at a conference convened by UNESCO in 1953 'to stimulate music education as an integral part of general education'. With worldwide members in over 60 countries.
- Language and Music for Life - Two week residential or day course in music in France and the United Kingdom. It is in a perspective of enlargement and non-exclusion that in 1997 this course was created, in which languages flow freely and richly around the making of music.
- Leopold Mozart Academy - The Leopold Mozart Academy, a small music school with branches in Elkins Park and Newtown PA, offers instruction in piano, viola, violoncello, chamber music, and music theory.
- Madison Area Piano Teachers Association - a professional organization serving piano educators and professionals in south central Wisconsin. We host serveral performances, and educational activities annually. MAPTA is a contributing member of MAFOP (Madison Area Friends of Piano).

At its height membership in the MNMA included about one hundred and thirty individuals from seventeen different countries
- Ohio Music Education Association - is the principal organization in Ohio promoting music education in elementary and secondary schools as well as colleges and universities. One of the largest state music education associations in the United States, OMEA is a federated state affiliate of MENC, The National Association for Music Education. The Ohio Music Education Association espouses a philosophy of music education that values artistic/musical experiences for every citizen.
- Pawz for Music - A US charity introduces and teaches children about the world of music and its value in their lives using feline characters.
- The Society for Music Theory - Founded in 1977, the Society holds annual meetings, publishes two journals (Music Theory Spectrum and Music Theory Online), and encourages scholarly excellence by giving awards for outstanding publications in music theory.
- Technology Institute for Music Educators - a non-profit corporation registered in the State of Pennsylvania whose mission is to assist music educators in applying technology to improve teaching and learning in music.
