Montessori Organizations

The Montessori technique is a learning method designed to teach children. It was developed by an Italian doctor and teacher named Maria Montessori (1870–1952). She developed it in the early 1900’s after observing children in an environment where they were free to play with educational toys and objects. Montessori referred to this setting as a place where children could act naturally. Educators using the Montessori method try to create a setting where children can behave and act as young kids naturally do.
