National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) Scholarship

The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) Scholarship is a financial award sponsored by National Italian American Foundation (NIAF).

Scholarship information:

Scholarship Amount: Average - $5000
Application Deadline: 1-March
Scholarship Requirements: Candidate must be either an Italian American student or a student of any ethnic background majoring or minoring in Italian language, Italian studies, Italian American studies, or a related field. Candidate must demonstrate outstanding potential and high academic achievement, must be enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education, must have a minimum 3.25 grade point average, must be a United States citizen or permanent resident alien, and, if Italian American, must have at least one ancestor who has immigrated from Italy. Selection is based upon academic performance, field of study, career objectives, and demonstrated potential, commitment, and ability. Recipient must submit written acceptance of award, letter(s) of appreciation to NIAF-designated scholarship financial contributor(s), a color photograph for publication, and a written pledge to type a narrative for publication upon completion of the academic year describing the benefits of the scholarship.
Eligibility: Applicant must be a college freshman, sophmore, junior or senior.
