National Association of Black Journalists Scholarship

The National Association of Black Journalists Scholarship is a financial award sponsored by National Association of Black Journalists.

Scholarship information:

Amount of Scholarship: Average - $2500
Application Deadline: Please write to the association for the current deadline
Scholarship Requirements: Articles will be judged by a local journalist on the basis of quality and completeness of reporting, writing ability, and originality. Candidate must be an African-American planning a career in journalism. Candidate must be nominated by his or her school to take part in the competition. Candidate must submit a letter of recommendation, a written article on a black journalist, three samples of work, resume, autobiography, and a glossy black and white photo. An interview is required.
Eligibility: College sophomore, College junior, College senior, Master's-level study, Doctoral-level study
