Unschooling

Unschooling is a collection of teaching philosophies designed to teach children by permitting them to play and act as they would in an unstructured learning environment. This includes, peer interaction, household chores, game time, and child directed play. Children participating in unschooling are usually permitted to initiate and take the lead in learning activities under the supervision of adults. Unschooling is different from traditional learning in that educators promoting it believe that traditional classroom learning is not as effective as unschooling in educating children.
