JVS Scholarship Fund

The JVS Scholarship Fund is a scholarship sponsored by Jewish Vocational Service

Scholarship information:

Award Amount: Minimum - $1,000, Average - $2,000, Maximum - $5,000
Application Deadline: March 11, 2011

The JVS Scholarship Fund provides qualified Jewish students whose primary residence is in Los Angeles with need-based financial aid, in the belief that education represents the first step to career success.

Since its founding in 1972, the JVS Scholarship Fund has awarded over $4 million to nearly 3,500 students. Recipients, who range from high school graduates to those entering new career paths later in life, have used our yearly scholarships, which range from $1,000 to $5,000, to study everything from visual art to psychology, dentistry to pharmacology, rabbinical studies to law and medicine.

We are committed to providing as much aid to qualified recipients as possible and encourage students to reapply each year they are in school, so that we may help them throughout their post-secondary education. Today's recipients are pursuing studies at community colleges, vocational schools, four-year colleges, universities and graduate schools in California and across the country.

For further eligibility and application information, see Scholarship Fund at www.jvsla.org
