The Ferdinand Torres Scholarship is an award sponsored by American Foundation for the Blind (AFB).

Scholarship information:

Award Amount: Average - $1500
Application Deadline: 31-March
Scholarship Requirements: Candidate must be legally blind, be enrolled full time, and demonstrate financial need. Selection is based upon transcripts, recommendation, and personal statement. Preference is given to residents of the New York City metropolitan area and new immigrants.
Eligibility: College sophomore, College junior, College senior
