Educational Gratuity Program

The Educational Gratuity Program is a scholarship sponsored by Pennsylvania Bureau for Veterans Affairs.

Scholarship information:

Award Amount: Maximum - $1000
Scholarship Requirements: Candidate must be the child of a veteran who is 100% disabled due to war or armed conflict service or the child of a veteran who died in active duty during war or armed service-connected disabilities or as a result of hostile fire or terrorist attact during peacetime. Candidate must be between 16 and 23 years of age and have been a Pennsylvania resident for at least five years prior to application. Award must be used at a Pennsylvania postsecondary or secondary state or state-aided educational or training institution or other institution of higher education, business school, trade school, hospital providing nursing training, or institution providing courses in beauty culture, art, radio, or undertaking/embalming, or other training approved by the Department of Education.
Eligibility: Must be college freshman, sophmore, junior or senior.
