Amount of Internship: Average - $1000
Application Deadline: 15-November
Scholarship Requirements: Candidate must be an U.S. citizen and work the full summer at the copy desk of a daily newspaper, online newspaper, or real-time financial news service (identified by DJNF). Recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship toward his or her following year in college, as well as regular wages from the news media for which he or she works. Recipient must attend a one- to two-week training seminar before beginning the internship; seminar is paid for by the Newspaper Fund and the hiring news organization. Request application and list of campus test monitors between August 15 and November 1. Candidate must take editing test as part of the application by November 15.
