Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarship

The Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarship is an award sponsored by Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.

Scholarship information:

Award Amount: Minimum - $12000, Maximum - $19000
Application Deadline: varies
Scholarship Requirements: Award is for three or six months of intensive language training abroad in one of the following languages: Arabic, English, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, or Swedish. Candidate must be a citizen of a country in which there is a Rotary club, have completed at least two years of college course work or two years of post-secondary employment in a recognized vocation, have completed at least one year of college-level course work or its equivalent in proposed language of study, and submit essay, recommendations, club endorsement, transcripts, and language ability forms. Preference is given to disabled applicants. Rotarians, Honorary Rotarians, and employees of Rotary entities are not eligible; spouses, children/grandchildren, spouses of children/grandchildren, and parents/grandparents of living Rotarians/Honorary Rotarians/Rotary employees are not eligible.
