Bennion Family Scholarship

The Bennion Family Scholarship is an award sponsored by Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Scholarship information:

Award Amount: Maximum - $2000
Application Deadline: 15-April
Scholarship Requirements: Candidates must be accepted or studying full-time at a mainstream school in Washington D.C. or surrounding areas. Candidates must also be diagnosed with severe or moderate hearing loss disorders. (Hearing loss is typically 60dB or more in the best ear where speech frequencies are 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz). Candidates are required to utilize spoken communication as their main form of communicating. Hearing aid users must provide an unaided and aided audiogram current within the previous year. Cochlear implant users must provide their current mapping report. Applicants must also provide official transcripts from either high school or college, in addition to 3 letters of recommendation, one of which must be written by a member currently affiliated with AG Bell.
