Avon Products Foundation Career Empowerment Scholarship

The Avon Products Foundation Career Empowerment Scholarship is an award sponsored by Business and Professional Women's Foundation.

Scholarship information:

Award Amount: Minimum - $1000, Maximum - $1500
Application Deadline: 15-April
Scholarship Requirements: Candidates must be women, 25 years or older, Los Angeles County residents, and students enrolled at accredited colleges or universities within Los Angeles County. Candidates must hold GEDs or high school diplomas and receive public assistance or cease receiving assistance within 2 years of applying for award. Candidates must obtain a degree 2 years after receiving an award and have intentions of finding a job or upgrading to a high wage position. Preference is provided to women who are first-generation college students, and those majoring in accounting, information technology, business, health management, health, and other business intensive fields, and recipients of the BPW Foundation Scholarship reapplying that satisfy all the requirements. Applicants should provide a double stamped, self-addressed, sized 10 envelope with "scholarship" written in the upper right-hand corner.
