GED
General Educational Development (GED) exams consist of 5 tests covering different subjects. After these tests are successfully completed, test takers receive a certification which serves as an equivalent to a high school diploma in Canada and the United States. This certification is also known as the General Education or Equivalency Diploma.
To successfully complete a GED exam, a person taking the test must earn a 60 percent or higher on the test. In some areas, English proficiency and civics exams must also be successfully completed to earn a GED.
